FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much damage do I need to have a claim?
A. Not much really. Marble-size hail can cause substantial granule loss and other shingle damage. 45+ mph winds can break the shingles seals and cause creases and tears.

Q. My roof looks okay from the ground, how do I know if there is sufficient damage to warrant filing a claim?
A.One of our trained Professionals will perform a thorough inspection of your roof. We have a 90% success rate with insurance Claims!

Q. If I file a claim with my insurance company, will I be canceled or will my premiums increase?
A. If you have a “no claims” discount it may be disallowed. We have yet to see a policy canceled because of a storm damage claim.

Q. How long do I have to file a claim?
A. In general, you have one year from the storm date to file a claim with your insurance.

Q. This sounds too good to be true. How do I know this isn’t some kind of scam?
A. We are an established member of the Better Business Bureau. We have dozens of references you may speak with. We don’t make a penny unless your claim is approved!

Q. Is this an insurance scam?
A. No. An insurance scam is when someone intentionally inflicts damage to their own property in order to file a claim and get financial gain. We will not represent some one should we discover intentional damage during the inspection process. Storm damage claims are legitimate even if the damage is minimal.

Q. How does Authentic Restoration get paid?
A. We work with a contingency agreement that allows us to do the work if, and only if, the insurance company approves the claim. If the claim is denied or insufficiently funded, the agreement terminates automatically. We guarantee your maximum out of pocket expense is your insurance deductible!

Q. Do you have a list of commonly used roofing terms?
